Thisara Perera

Executive Director – Chairman & Managing Director

Thisara’s professional journey is defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a strong commitment to the field of Human Resources and business leadership. He began his career in 2016 as a Management Trainee at Cargills Ceylon PLC, where he quickly demonstrated exceptional potential. His performance and dedication earned him a swift promotion to Duty Manager at Cargills Food City, highlighting his leadership capabilities and operational strengths.

Later that year, Thisara was transferred to the Group Human Resources Department of Cargills Ceylon PLC. In this role, he further developed his HR expertise, playing a pivotal part in identifying human capital needs and contributing meaningfully to the company’s HR strategies.

In 2018, he joined Trade Finance & Investments PLC as an Executive in Human Resources, where he strengthened his people management skills and expanded his HR competencies. Working closely with the Managing Director, he ensured HR practices were aligned with organizational objectives.

In 2021, he continued his career progression by joining Commercial Credit & Finance PLC as an Executive in Human Resources. His responsibilities expanded significantly as he took charge of HR operations for 25 branches across 5 regions, serving as an HR Regional Representative Officer.

In 2022, Thisara embarked on a new chapter by joining Smart Credit & Capital Investments Limited as an Assistant Manager – Human Resources. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and consistent performance, he was promoted in 2024 to Manager – Operations, marking a major milestone in his corporate career.

In April 2025, he ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing Optimize Management Services (Pvt) Ltd, expanding his footprint into business consulting and management services. Continuing his entrepreneurial journey, he founded Royal Needle Clothing (Pvt) Ltd in July 2025, serving as its Chairman & Managing Director, marking his entry into the apparel manufacturing sector.

He further strengthened his business portfolio by founding Uniq Capital Investments Limited, where he serves as the Chairman & Managing Director, guiding the company’s strategic direction and investments.

Thisara’s educational background is equally impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a specialization in Human Resources from NSBM Green University. His strong academic foundation has played a vital role in shaping his professional growth and leadership mindset.

With a diverse background spanning HR, operations, and entrepreneurship, Thisara continues to make a lasting impact across multiple industries through his vision, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Amith Buddhika

Executive Director – Chief Operations Officer 

Amith Buddhika is an experienced Executive Director with over 15 years of hands-on expertise in finance operations, accounting, branch management, and institutional growth within Sri Lanka’s financial services sector. His career reflects a strong foundation in operational discipline, financial controls, and large-scale team and portfolio management.

He began his professional journey in 2010 at Citizens Development Business & Finance PLC, where he served as a Training Marketing Executive, gaining early exposure to customer acquisition, credit fundamentals, and financial product marketing. He subsequently gained international experience in Doha, Qatar, strengthening his understanding of transactional accuracy, compliance, and service excellence.

From 2014 to 2020, Amith progressed steadily at Kanrich Finance Ltd, rising to Senior Finance Executive. During this period, he functioned as the branch finance head, overseeing a member base exceeding 12,000 customers, managing a field force of over 75 executives, and leading an in-house finance team. His responsibilities spanned financial reporting, operational oversight, team supervision, and portfolio performance management.

He continued to build his finance and accounting expertise with roles at Future Life Investment and Smart Credit & Capital Investment between 2020 and 2025, where he contributed to day-to-day accounting operations, financial controls, and operational support functions.

In 2025, Amith joined Asset Legacy (Pvt) Ltd as Assistant Manager – Operations & Branch and was subsequently promoted to Manager – Operations & Branch. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in operational leadership, branch performance management, and process optimization at both head office and branch level.

As an Executive Director of Unity Capital Investments Limited, Amith brings deep operational insight, strong financial management capability, and proven leadership across growing financial institutions. His experience adds significant value to the Board through disciplined execution, scalable operations, and governance-focused management.
